Military Party Invitations

military invitations

We live in the land of the free, but we all know that freedom comes at a price. Whether the soldier in you family or circle of friends is going into the military or coming home after a long trip overseas, let them know that they have the support of family and friends with a party in their honor. A party that will remind them that what they fight for on a daily basis is the love of family, friends and our right to be free.

This collection of military themed party invitations features a variety of military designs. Choose from camouflage borders, American Flags, back from Iraq tickets, army tanks, fireworks or other patriotic themed invitations. These invitations come in a variety of styles including die-cuts, layered cards, flat invitations and ticket style invitations. Send your military party invitations out well in advance of your party so that everyone may attend.

When planning your going away or coming home party ask your guests to bring photos or memoirs of the soldier in honor. Share with your guests the hard work and courage that goes into this soldier’s career on a daily basis. Send each guest home with a party favor like an American Flag, army men or canteen. Insert Cards for Invitations

Thursday, July 15th, 2010

We’ve all done it…raced through placing an invitation order, double, triple checked it, approved our proof and then realize once we receive our invitations that we’ve made a blatant error to our party date, registry information or rsvp info. How could we have missed it? The answer: You’re only human. Lately we have had a lot of customers contact us about reprint options for mistakes made on their invitations. The common question often arises…

If you’re on a budget, is there anything that can be done to fix an invitation when you’ve made a mistake?

At InvitationBox we offer our customers a few options. The first option is to have your invitations reprinted with a 25% discount. We also ship reprints out typically within 1-2 business days so that you can have your replacements in a timely manner. In the meantime you can work on addressing your invitation envelopes. The second option we often suggest to customers is to purchase an insert card, (like a calling card or reception card), and write a note to your guests to include with your invitations. Something like…

Oops!! We made a mistake! Katie is registered at Macy’s & Target

We don’t want you to be late…there’s a change in the date!
See you on Saturday, August 14th!

We planned the party for ten…
But the baby will be asleep then!
Please plan on attending
Mara’s 1st Birthday Party
at noon

Most guests are just fine knowing that a date, time or location has changed. We’ve all planned parties before and understand these things happen. Check out these calling cards and insert cards that are perfect for making corrections to your party information!

Save the Date Cards

Friday, July 9th, 2010

A save the date card is typically mailed 6-8 months before your wedding. It allows your guests to hold the date for your special event so that parties / plans are not crossed. If you’re having a destination wedding or a wedding in which guests are coming from out-of-state, it also allows for guests to financially plan for the event and prepare travel arrangements. A save the date card can match your upcoming wedding ensemble or be completely different. Some couples will tend to use a fun, vibrant save the date card to get guests excited for the event and then use a different, more traditional invitation ensemble for the invitation to the actual wedding. It’s all a matter of preference.

save the date cards

This week we received several inquiries regarding save the date cards and whether or not they are acceptable for events other than weddings. This is not an occurrence we see happen very often, however if you have a very formal event, a corporate event or something of that nature it is now acceptable to send a save the date card well in advance of the event date. It becomes a bit silly when we see save the date cards for second birthday parties or something of that nature, however something like an anniversary, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, etc. it is acceptable.

Save the date cards should be on the smaller side, typically a 4 x 6, 5 x 7, 6 x 6, etc. They should not overpower or overshadow the upcoming wedding invitation. Our collection of save the date cards features a multitude of designs including digital photograph cards, floral patterns, church/chapel themes, monograms, frames, damask designs and destination themes. Click here to view all of our save the date cards. New designs are often added!
