Fun & Spooky Customizable Halloween Stickers

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Grab your broomstick and hold on tight…Halloween is soon to be in sight! At InvitationBox our vendors have gone above and beyond the traditional Halloween party invitations this season and have created customizable Halloween square and round stickers for kids, adults and Halloween lovers! The round Halloween stickers are great for return address labels or envelope seals for stationery correspondence. There’s nothing like adding a little spookiness to your bills, letters and outgoing mail. Our square stickers are a little bit larger, typically at 2 inches, and work great for labeling your belongings or for use as a gift tag on a Halloween or Autumn gift. We have even seen customers use them on yummy Halloween Treats for class parties or fall bake sales. Teachers can also have them customized with their school or classroom number and use them as small incentive gifts.

Our Halloween stickers come in a variety of designs for kids and adults. Some of our newest and favorite kids Halloween sticker designs include a baby girl witch and her cat on a broomstick, trick-or-treaters and happy pumpkin faces. Adults will enjoy our ghoulishly fun adult Halloween stickers which feature black cats, graveyard scenes, ghosts, spiders and jack-o-lanterns. We even have formal Halloween stickers for corporate or formal Halloween dinner party events that feature damask patterns and simple hues of orange, purple, grey and black.

Below are some of our customer’s favorite and newest Halloween Sticker designs:

Spooktacular Halloween Photo Cards

Monday, August 30th, 2010

Halloween is right around the corner! Our vendors have taken a step ‘outside of the box’ again with a brand new collection of Halloween photo greeting cards, just in time for the spooky season ahead. We typically think of photo cards or greeting cards as a holiday, (i.e. Christmas/Hanukkah), item, however it’s becoming more popular to keep in touch with family and friends during other holidays throughout the year. These Halloween photo greeting cards are a great way to show your friends and family how much the kids have grown, show a costume on their first Halloween, or send a holiday-neutral greeting at the end of the year. It’s also a great way to network and keep in touch with clients and co-workers.

Our Halloween photo cards range from fun Halloween designs for children to spooky adult Halloween designs, serene autumn collages, formal damask designs and borders, Thanksgiving themed cards with turkeys and cornucopias, candy, monster, cat, pumpkin or spider themes, and more. Once you’ve chosen your Halloween photo card, you can personalize your greeting card text and actually upload, edit and crop your photo to try it out on our different cards. This works great if you have multiple photos and are not sure which will look best with your chosen greeting card.

Below are just a few of our newest designs of Halloween photo greeting cards

Remember, there’s no better way to keep in touch with family and friends than with a fun, festive, Halloween greeting…especially one with your family or child’s photograph. Start a new tradition with one of these ghoulishly-fantastic designs today…starring your little Halloween monster!

AFC Predictions

Friday, August 27th, 2010

I detailed the AFC East on Wednesday, so let’s go through the rest of the AFC today.

AFC East – Like I said the other day – The Patriots walk away with this one.

AFC North – Possibly the most competitive division in the NFL – 3 teams have the goods and could make the playoffs from the North. The Browns are going nowhere this year and I also think the Bengals are going to struggle. So that leaves the Ravens and the Steelers fighting for the division crown. Due to Big Ben’s suspension, I am going to give the Ravens the edge, but think the Steelers will secure a wildcard spot.

AFC South – Like the Patriots in the East, the Colts have long run this division. It seems like each year they send out an invitation to be challenged and each year, the other teams are just not up to it. This year is no exception. The Texans are very close and will finally make the jump to a wild-card spot.

AFC West – Like the NFC West, a weak division. Look for the Chargers, due to a lack of competition and the strong arm of Phillip Rivers, to come out on top here.

Next week – my playoff predictions.

NFC Predictions

Thursday, August 26th, 2010

Ok – I admit it, I am an AFC guy, so I am just going to give a cursory overview of the NFC. Can the Saints make it back to the Super Bowl? Will Brett Farve go out on top? How ’bout them Cowboys?

NFC East – The East is wide open – All 4 teams expect to be around at the end of the season – but only 2 will be, look for the Cowboys to win the division and the NY Football Giants to grab a Wild Card Invitation.

NFC South – This is a 2 team race between the Saints and the Falcons with the defending champs finishing on top and Atlanta playing golf in January.

NFC North – Another division that will come down to 2 teams – but unlike the South, both are headed to the post – season with the Packers picking up the division crown and Vikes grabbing the 2nd Wildcard spot.

NFC West – The West has been a nightmare over the last few years – 2010 will not be an exception. The Cardinals figure to be the favorite again, but this may be the year the 49ers (finally) put it together. Well – maybe not – the Cards will head to the playoffs.

Tomorrow the rest of the AFC.

Predictions – AFC East

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Yesterday I wrote about the kickoff of the 2010 football season and I was bombarded with questions asking me my predictions for the NFL. So over the next few days, I will detail each division, the playoffs and finally the Super Bowl.

We start the process with the AFC East. This is tough division to handicap with 3 legitimate playoff teams and 2 teams with a goal of the Super Bowl. Let’s start at the bottom where things are pretty clear. The Bills have added by subtracting when it comes to Terrell Owens, but their QB position is still in flux with an unreliable Trent Edwards under center. The addition of Clemson star CJ Spiller should help an already powerful running attack, but a porous defense and a lack of any passing game will hurt the Bills and coach Chan Gailey as the Bills will struggle to a 5-11 record.

The NY Jets headed to the AFC Championship last year behind rookie QB Mark Sanchez, but I am afraid he is headed for a sophomore slump. Add that to the abscence of pro bowl CB Darelle Revis who is still holding out and I expect the J-E-T-S magical 2009 season to be a distant memory by October. I see this team struggling out of the gate and being 0-3 before they head to Buffalo for a gimmie. 2 more tough games against the Vikings and on the road at Denver could have the Jets at 1-5 or 2-4 heading into their bye week. This will not play well in the New York media and Sexy Rexy will quickly become just another swearing fat guy in a Jets hat. The Jets disappointing season will end with a 7-9 or 8-8 record.

The Dolphins will challenge for a playoff spot this year, and an invitation to the post-season could be there. QB Chad Henne will have a full training camp as the undisputed starter and the addition of new receiver Brandon Marshall are 2 factors that can only help build on a breakout season last year. The Fins also have a tough 1-2 punch in the backfield with Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams. The defense has had bit of a turnover including the addition of Karlos Dansby, but will have to do a lot to change the 24th ranked pass defense. Miami also has a brutal opening part of their schedule, but should rattle off 7 wins in a row near the end of the season to get to 10-6.

The kings of this division for the last decade will continue to chug along. Tom Brady is still Tom Brady, Wes Welker is still Wes Welker and Randy Moss is in a contract year. All of that adds up to points, points, and more points. Add the addition of Brandon Spilkes at ILB and I can’t see many teams staying within 2 tds of this squad. Barring an injury to Brady, this team cruises to the AFC East crown – AGAIN – with a record of 12-4.

So here it is – my predictions for the AFC EAST:

Football Season is BACK!!!

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Can you smell it, can you feel it? I know the temperatures may still be in the 80s and 90s for most of the country, but football season is right around the corner. NFL pre-season games have already started and the college season kicks off on Thursday September 2nd with 18 games. National Champion Alabama takes the field to start their title defense on Saturday September 4th. A few days later, the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints begin their quest for back to back titles when they host Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday September 9th. So you may be asking yourself, what does this have to do with invitations. SIMPLE – there is no better way to ring in the coming seasons than with friends – old and new. So get together, and celebrate the kick-off to the 2010 season with these awesome football invites.

New Save the Date Cards

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Spring is right around the corner! Okay, not really, but in the wedding world, we are always two steps ahead, which is exactly how you have to be when you’re planning a wedding. Save the date cards should be mailed out 6-8 months before your wedding so that your guests can make travel arrangements and reserve the date from any other events which may take place. This will make sure all of your family and friends can attend.

Our newest save the date cards feature floral designs and patterns that will be a refreshing accent after the winter ahead. Add a digital photograph of the married couple-to-be and you’ll create an early keepsake for your wedding event. For those who don’t want to share a photo, we also have modern save the date cards that feature wedding rings, floral vines, beach or chapel scenes.

Your save the date card gives a little preview of the event ahead, however it does not need to match or coordinate with your wedding invitation. So if you want to have a reserved and formal wedding invitation and a wild, crazy and fun save the date card…go ahead! Your save the date card should not upstage your wedding invitation. It is simply there to let your guests know of your engagement and ask them to hold your special date. This is also helpful for couples who have not chosen a specific wedding theme or wedding colors yet.

When writing your save the date card, be sure to include the bride and groom’s name, date you will be married followed by the location. The location does not need to be extremely specific, (i.e. name of the hotel or reception site). A city and state will be appropriate. You can also include a wedding website, as many modern couples create, to introduce your guests to you as a couple, your bridal party and give extra details about your registry and wedding event(s).

Spa Party Invitations

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

Sit back, relax, kick your feet up and get beautiful! Spa parties are a growing trend for adult birthday parties, bridal showers and bachelorette parties. We’re even seeing a large trend of kids birthday parties with spa themes! Everyone loves to take a break from their everyday schedule to get their nails manicured, toes pedicured, hair done and back massaged…whether you’re turning 9 or 89, having a birthday or getting ready for a wedding.

At we carry a wide range of spa and beauty themed invitations with designs of nail polish, feet, makeup counters, pedi spas, bathrobes and cucumber eyed girls, lounges, beach themes and makeup. Some invitations are geared toward kids with more whimsical and cartoony themes more geared toward fun and getting pretty, and others more geared toward adults with posh and contemporary spa themes that focus on relaxation, socialization and meditation. Take a look at some of our favorite spa party invitations below…

Spa parties can be rather expensive, as well as a nail or spa place can be booked fast…so plan ahead! Many spa companies have discount rates for large groups or spa packages that are discounted so that more people can participate at a cost they can afford. Be sure to call a few weeks ahead to reserve space and assistants for your spa getaway. Nobody wants to get to the spa and have 2 girls with their nails done, one with her hair done and the other 2 girls in the lobby waiting for an eternity. Kids parties are typically paid for by the host of the event, but those hosting a bridal shower or just a get-together can ask guests to pay for their spa treatments or to pay for their treatments if they want extras.

Ready to relax and get away from life for a few hours? We are too. There’s no better way to spend time with your girlfriends than with a day at the spa with beauty products, calming music, social gossip, champagne and a relaxing massage.
