I went to the NC State Fair yesterday and going there always reminds me that Thanksgiving is underway. It makes me laugh seeing the happy fair-goers walking around carrying and eating the gigantic turkey legs that I swear are as big and as long as my arm! I found myself giggling to one of my friends asking her if they put those turkeys on steroids! Seriously, I don’t think my Thanksgiving turkey has ever had wings quite that large!!!
As Halloween comes to a close it’s time to finish making your Thanksgiving plans and start rounding up the troops for your annual Thanksgiving dinner. Or, maybe you’ve just stepped out on your own and want to impress your family with your newly-found cooking skills and change things up by hosting a new Thanksgiving tradition – dinner at your place where the kids cook for the adults! Whatever your plans are, there’s just about four and a half weeks until Thanksgiving, so you still have just enough time to order your Thanksgiving dinner party invitations.
Our Thanksgiving invitations are all over the board, depending on what type of holiday party you typically host. For those who kick back and watch a little football, drink some beer and get a little rowdy, there’s cartoon Thanksgiving invitations with turkey, football or drink themes. For those who prefer a sit-down style formal Thanksgiving dinner, with all the trimmings, there are more reserved invitations which feature scenes of fall foliage, pumpkins, fall place settings, wreaths or formal patterns.
Below is a collage of some of our favorite Thanksgiving party invitations:
