Pop the cork, get out the confetti, noise makers and party hats! We all love celebrating New Years Eve and we all love weddings. Why not combine both events into one unforgettable night?! In searching for information on such a fun wedding event, I found some great New Years wedding favors that I wanted to share with our readers. Read on…
Party Hats & Noise Makers – When handing out your party favor bags, instead of including the traditional wedding candies/mints, hand out black bags with silver garnishes full of part hats, noise makers and confetti. Ask the guests that remain at midnight to celebrate your wedding & the New Year. These favors can be purchased in bulk at a local party store or an online source like Oriental Trading Company, etc. They are relatively inexpensive and totally fun!
Hershey Kisses – As soon as that ball drops, we all grab our significant other or friends to hug and kiss through the New Year transition. Give your guests a special “kiss” from the bride & groom, but this one is made from the chocolate we all know and love. Tie each favor with a tag that says “Here’s a few hugs & kisses from the new Mr. & Mrs.”.
Champagne – A champagne toast is traditional at any wedding as well as any midnight New Years celebration. Prior to midnight, hand each guest a mini bottle of champagne that is adorned with a personalized label from the bride and groom. Ask your guests to un-cork at midnight with you. Too budget conscious? Hand out mini champagne bottle bubbles instead!
Personalized Calendar – Send each guest home with a personalized calendar to use throughout the New Year. Make sure that January is a photo of the newlywed couple and fill the other months with scenery from your hometown or fun pictures of you and your guests from the previous year.
Fortune Cookies – After the wedding cake, serve chocolate dipped fortune cookies to your guests and let them know what is in store for them in the upcoming year. Choose random fortunes or do your own customized fortunes for each guest!
Ready for the new year already?! Remember, the above ideas are great for New Years weddings but could also be incorporated to a annual New Years Party idea. Many thanks to Wedding Themes & More for these GREAT party favor suggestions!
